Bareboat "Boatel" to Bareboat Charter

Many Bluesail guests start their bookings as a dockside lodging accommodation but also want to consider taking the vessel out for a sail during the rental period. While our pricing for dockside lodging accommodations typically carry a discount of at least 50% off the regular bareboat charter daily rate, you are welcome to take the boat out as little or as much as you'd like for the duration of your rental period for an additional fee. Please consider the following when taking the boat from the dock:

  1. An additional charge of $349.00 + 7.5% tax will be applied to your credit card on file for each calendar day the boat is verified as leaving the dock.

  2. A calendar day is defined as 12:00am to 11:59pm each day, and not as a continuous 24-hour period. In other words if you left the dock at 10:00am on day 1 and returned at 10:00am on day 2, the additional charge would be $349.00 (plus tax) x 2 days. A day sail from 9:00am - 7:00pm on the same calendar day would be $349 (plus tax).

  3. Federal regulations require the vessel be provisioned with food, fuel, and crew directly by you, the bareboat charterer. Bluesail does not offer all-inclusive commercial charter.

  4. Bluesail requires any hired crew to hold a valid RYA International Certificate of Competency, NauticEd SLC License, or pass a competency verification prior to leaving the dock on your own. For a list of pre-qualified local bareboat skippers click here.
